3 insurance companies sever ties with Millinocket firm after

Three key insurance corporations have minimize ties with a Millinocket business amid the backlash more than a racist indication left on its door on Juneteenth.

A spokesperson for Progressive advised NPR that the firm is “appalled” by the sign posted Monday at the Harry E. Reed Insurance plan Company and identified as it a “direct violation” of the insurer’s determination to diversity.

Allstate joined Progressive in ending its business enterprise with the Millinocket business, telling NPR that diversity, equity and inclusion are “non-negotiable.”
